Echo Mtn. Bitter Bloom

After the winter rains, the hills of Southern California are briefly remade in color, a super bloom rising across the valleys and gone before the heat returns. Wildflowers and meadow grass, pollen and stem and seed. Floral, honeyed, and softly bitter as a season turning over.
